Appleseed - The Ex-Machina is on its way !!!

A span of 105 minutes that inspired me to post this on my blog: Appleseed






Inspired from the manga by Masamune Shirow and directed by Arakari , Appleseed was CGI (Computer Generated Imagery ) movie that made people believe that reality can be recreated in the small screen. This movie depicts the evolution of a new world with human and a recombinant race of people called the Bioroids . They are androids with lesser emotions or no emotions principally constructed from the DNA of humans.

"Unlike the humans they cant sense or realize the touch of emotion be it love or hatred.... "

2131 AD, Deunan Knute, a young, legendary female soldier and a survivor of the Third World War, which brought Earth to the edge of destruction. With her before-human lover and comrade Briareos, who is now a cyborg, she is brought to Utopian city called Olympus, also inhabited by Bioroids. There, she integrates into the prestigious ESWAT organization to serve as the city's guardian. But what she discovers is not the promised land of peace, but rather a deadlier, more elusive battlefield than before.

Bioroids have a lifespan much shorter than those of humans and their ability to reproduce is suppressed. Gaia , the Bioroid Command unit controls the emotional variance of these Bioroids and keep them safe for the humans and also help humans in each possible way.

When the facilities that were used in the Bioroid's life extension processes are destroyed by a secret faction of the Olympus Regular Army in a terrorist attack as part of its demonstration of fear and hatred for the Bioroids, a crisis which requires immediate resolution is formed, and the Appleseed data is revealed to still exist, even though most thought it destroyed.

Under the surface, Olympus is plagued by conflicting factions. Some believe that Bioroids are a threat to the future advancement of mankind, whilst others believe that humans themselves are the threat. The ultimate question is over everyone's right to life, and whether or not one group deserves life more than the other. At the center of this battle is Appleseed, the data that is able to extend Bioroid life.

Highlights :

-> The reality that these people have achieved is more than laudable. There is a scene where Deunan and Briareos where land on the beach with briareos terribly hurt with more than 15 shells penetrating in Cyborg shell... The ripples on the beach raise and fall with the glint of the moon showering the foam of the sea brilliant white ... A scene that u reconstruct only if you are in your honey moon ...

-> Faster than the Rawalpindi Express .. the graphic content and the pace of the movie hits as hard as the C-4 explosive... You just cant take your eyes of the screen... [All meanings included ... ;-) ]

Sequel : Appleseed Ex-Machina .. A more deadly , more menacing movie, more viciously reconstructed and more loaded than ever... The teaser means business ... The Movie has been released in Japan on 20th of Oct.. but the DVDs hits the stands on 2008.. Now we have an assured gift after all...






But the movie Appleseed wasnt that see to get ... It took me more than a week to find this bad boy .. but still no regrets and the quality.. Its awesome... Briareos would blush if i tickle him on the screen....
